Shania Twain’s ‘Little Miss Twain’ Lands in the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart’s Top 20
The Canadian country-pop icon scores her second entry on the chart in the 2020s. Meanwhile, tracks from Alicia Moffet and Sully Burrows debut on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.

Shania Twain went back to her Canadian roots, and it has paid off on the Billboard Canada charts.
The Canadian country-pop icon’s album, Little Miss Twain (Universal Music Canada) debuts on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, dated Aug. 8, at No. 20. It follows 2023’s Queen of Me, which debuted at No. 2.
With a career defined by her free-spirited energy and a rejection of genre conventions, Twain goes back to the beginning on her latest album. It's a deeply personal project that reflects the experiences, sounds and memories that shaped Twain before her mainstream fame.
“A lot of things that I wouldn’t normally write about as a commercial songwriter,” she told Billboard Canada of the album’s subject material, much of which revisits her childhood and teenage years in Northern Ontario. “Everyone knows the international recording artist Shania Twain, but who was I before that?”

Throughout the Little Miss Twain album rollout, the Twain has leaned into her childhood dreams. Before she made it big, she was a young country singer playing in honky-tonks throughout her hometown. Last month, she channeled that same energy, playing an intimate show at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern.
In addition, the album explores the singer’s lifelong relationship with genre across 15 tracks, seamlessly blending country, pop, rock, soul and bluegrass. It’s illustrated by Twain’s stacked list of collaborators, including legendary country singer Tanya Tucker, Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme, The War And Treaty, T Bone Burnett, Ronnie Wood and more.
Over on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, Montreal singer-songwriter Alicia Moffet debuts at No. 52 with “forever.”
As she explores the grief of a breakup, Moffet sings about the complicated feelings in the aftermath and the process of learning to let go of the word that holds so much weight in relationships. It’s a somber track for the artist, who has recently embraced a run of pop hits like “Lay Your Light.”

On social media, Moffet spoke earnestly about the track, saying: “I literally put my whole heart into it, and I hope you love it as much as it has been therapy for me,” ahead of the track’s release.
Also entering the charts this week, rising Canadian country act Sully Burrows arrives at No. 92 with “Put It On Me.” It's a big Canadian Hot 100 debut for the Parry Sound, Ontario singer.
This week, Charli xcx secures her second top 10 album in Canada. The British star’s Music, Fashion, Film arrives at No. 6, making it her second-highest charting album in Canada, following 2024’s Brat, which peaked at No. 2.
She lands a new entry on the Canadian Hot 100, too, with “Camera,” arriving at No. 67. The song arrived with a black-and-white music video that finds the singer living out her directorial dreams on set.
In the top 10, Ella Langley’s dominant “Choosin’ Texas” holds down at No. 1 for a 13th week, while the country hitmaker’s album, Dandelion, reclaims the top spot on the Canadian Albums chart, dethroning Gracie Abrams’ Daughter From Hell after one week, which falls to No. 9.

Meanwhile, Stella Lefty’s viral hit “Boston” climbs to No. 3 on the Canadian Hot 100, making it her highest-charting single. Last week, Billboard Canada celebrated her chart success at the first Chartbreaker edition of Billboard Canada LIVE and presented her with a special plaque for her top 5 achievement.
The singer’s former tourmate, Canadian singer Cameron Whitcomb, rises 8-7 with “Kingdom of Fear,” also his highest charting song.
