Fionn's Anti-Mansplaining Anthem ‘Blow’ Hits No. 1 on Billboard Canada Modern Rock Airplay After 31 Weeks
The Vancouver band's track's ascension to the top of the chart follows the release of their album, Scum. Emerging Canadian country stars Sacha and Restless Road also debut on the Country chart this week with "Shooting Star."

After 31 weeks, Fionn's "Blow" has finally reached No. 1 on the Billboard Canada Airplay charts.
The Vancouver twin sister duo’s addictive rock track has risen to the top of the Billboard Canada Modern Rock Airplay chart, dated Oct. 25.
The track hit No. 2 on the chart this summer. It remained there for quite a few weeks, just below fellow Canadian band The Beaches’ “Last Girls At The Party,” which was later dethroned by Role Model’s “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” Now, a Canadian band has taken the top spot once again.
The single is on their new album Scum, released on Oct. 17 via 604 Records.

“Blow” is an eruption of pent-up frustration and sarcasm with a quintessential pop-rock sound. Sisters Brianne and Alanna Finn-Morris called the three-minute hit a “femme-rage infused song” on Instagram after its release. Like Olivia Rodrigo's "Bad Idea Right," it's cathartically reminiscent of classic '90s alt-rock bands like Veruca Salt and Elastica as the anti-mansplaining lyrics also namecheck Nirvana.
With the hitting No. 1, Fionn reflect on the moments they’ve experienced as women in the professional world and the constant feeling of having to bite their tongues when men talk down to them or question their abilities.
“As women we’ve been conditioned to mask anger and remain sweet even when we are being disrespected," the sisters explain in a statement provided by 604 Records. "If we hear one more man ask us if we know how to plug in our guitars, we’re going to blow. We’ve been playing guitar professionally since we were 15.”
Fionn joins fellow Canadians Three Days Grace at No. 1 on the Canadian rock airplay charts, with that long-running band holding down the top spot with “Apologies" on Mainstream Rock.
Breakout country stars Sacha and Restless Road are debuting on the charts this week.

Their track “Shooting Star” arrives at No. 43 on All-Format. The country ballad is a soul-stirring reflection on a love that slipped away — anchored in the hope that a single wish might bring it back. With soaring harmonies and gut-punch lyrics, the duet showcases both artists at their most vulnerable and vocally dynamic.
“It’s about the ache of almost-love — the kind that fades before you’re ready to let go,” says Sacha of the track. “Restless Road brought so much emotion and richness to the duet, and I couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out.”
The song is already a hit on the Country airplay chart, rising 28-27 this week. “Shooting Star” led the 14-track deluxe edition of Sacha’s debut album Woman In The Mirror, released in July via Universal Music Canada.
Sacha is no stranger to the Airplay charts. The Ontario native has been a consistent force on the Canadian Country radio since 2020. Most notably, her track “Hey Mom I Made It" peaked at No. 8 on the chart last year.
A number of other Canadian artists are arriving on this week’s Airplay charts.
Mackenzie Porter & Owen Riegling hit All-Format at No. 38 with “Coming Home To You (Bigger Houses),” alongside fellow country stars Sully Burrows’ “Rally Around” at No. 44, High Valley’s “I’m Leavin’ You” at No. 45 and Dean Brody’s “Drink Around” at No. 49. After rising on AC, CHR/Top 40 and Hot AC, Tedy’s “I Hope” arrives at No. 46.

On CHR/Top 40, Cameron Whitcomb hits No. 38 with “Options,” while The Washboard Union’s “Somebody To Love” earns their Airplay chart debut at No. 59 on Country. After the announcement of signing to Wednesday Management, Valley’s “Water The Flowers, Pray For A Garden” debuts at No. 28 on Modern Rock.

Topping the charts is Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” which continues its months-long reign on All-Format, AC and Hot AC, while Justin Bieber’s “Daisies” sits at No. 1 for the fifth week. On Country, singer Jordan Davis rises to No. 1 with “Bar None.”
