Drake Says Ella Langley Has the ‘Goated Pen’ After ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Singer Raps Along to ‘HYFR’
Drizzy is an Ella Fella.

Drake is a proud member of Ella’s Fellas. The 6 God showed major love to Ella Langley on her Instagram post on Sunday (Aug. 16), where he championed her songwriting ability.
The “Choosin’ Texas” singer had posted a recap of her Texas shows over the weekend, and Drizzy hopped into her comments section. “Goated pen,” he wrote alongside a pen emoji.
With more than 4,000 likes on Drake’s comment, fans immediately flooded the 6 God’s replies with requests for a collaboration between the country and rap titans. “@champagnepapi Omg collab with her please,” one person wrote.
Drake giving Ella Langley her flowers came just hours after the Alabama native posted a TikTok on Saturday (Aug. 15), which saw Langley lip-synching along to Drizzy and Lil Wayne’s 2011 hit “HYFR (Hell Ya F–king Right).”

Langley was rapping Weezy’s chorus bar-for-bar from the Grammy-nominated Take Care track, which peaked at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Country by profession, Young Money by heart,” a fan joked in her comments section.
Drake has never fully ventured into the country world in the past, but he experimented with singing over an acoustic guitar on HABIBTI‘s opener “Rusty Intro.”
Langley has a rap collaboration under her belt, as the 27-year-old teamed up with BigXthaPlug for the Platinum-certified “Hell at Night” in 2025, which peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Langley kicks off the second leg of her Dandelion Tour in Green Bay on Aug. 20. She joined forces with Koe Wetzel for “Jaded” earlier in August.
The country superstar’s “Choosin’ Texas” continued to assert its dominance with an 18th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated Aug. 22, which is the fourth-longest tally in the chart’s history. Drake even gave “Choosin’ Texas” a spin when he was DJing at a Houston club in July.

Langley released her sophomore album, Dandelion, in April, which topped the Billboard 200 with 169,000 total album-equivalent units earned, according to Luminate.
