The two acclaimed artists will perform songs by the renowned Canadian songwriter, joining perfomrers including Our Lady Peace, City and Colour, Charlotte Cornfield, Allison Russell and more. The event takes place at Toronto's Massey Hall on Sept. 26 and will also celebrate The Tragically Hip, Loverboy and Rich Voisine.
Some big names are joining the celebration of Canada's iconic songwriters.
Jeff Tweedy and Finneas are confirmed to be performing Feist's music, honouring Leslie Feist's legacy and impact as a songwriter at this year's Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) gala, which takes place at Toronto's Massey Hall on Sept. 26. Finneas will also induct Feist alongside fellow 2026 honourees Roch Voisine, Mike Reno and Paul Dean of Loverboy and The Tragically Hip.
They join a list of Canadian legends which continues to expand since its inception in 1998 and includes Bryan Adams, Leonard Cohen and Neil Young, among many others.

Leslie Feist has had an illustrious trajectory for nearly 30 years, releasing six solo albums and contributing to Canadian indie rock supergroup Broken Social Scene as an on/off member for decades. Her solo music has soundtracked several episodes of renowned televised series such as Grey's Anatomy andGossip Girl, and most recently on Heated Rivalry. After appearing in two episodes of the viral Canadian, Crave-produced show last year, the Feist songs "Sealion" and "My Moon My Man" saw major gains on streaming platforms.
Finneas has named Feist as one of his favourite guitarists of all-time, and is renowned for his own songwriting work, having closely co-written alongside his sister, pop sensation Billie Eilish, on her three chart-topping studio albums, plus his own two solo albums. Jeff Tweedy, a renowned songwriter of his own in Wilco and as a solo artist, is also a longtime admirer and occasional collaborator with Feist.
After honouring their manager Robbie Lackritz at Billboard Canada Managers to Watch in 2025 and celebrating the White Stripes' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a performance alongside Olivia Rodrigo just months later, Feist is set to be on the other end of the coin this time, receiving their flowers in the form of one of Canada's top musical honours.

Several other Canadian veterans and influential newcomers have also joined the bill to honour this year's CSHF recipients, with Amanda Marshall, TALK and more performing songs by Loverboy, while The Tragically Hip will receive a star-studded CanCon tribute from Our Lady Peace, City and Colour, Ruby Waters, Tia Wood and several others. Decorated producer Boi-1da, one of Drake's longtime and closest collaborators, will also make a special appearance at the event, just months after crafting the soundtrack for Canada's record appearance at the FIFA World Cup. Acclaimed singer-songwriters Charlotte Cornfield, Sebastien Gaskin and Allison Russell are among this year's other performers.
Other inductors will include actors and comedians Bruce McCulloch (of The Kids In The Hall) and Jay Baruchel, songwriter Jim Vallance and Olympic hockey gold medallists Marie-Philip Poulin and Laura Stacey.
The Tragically Hip's induction is the latest celebration of their widely influential legacy and its impact, which continues to extend thanks to new achievements. Last week, CBC aired the group's legendary final concert in their hometown of Kingston in 2016 on its tenth anniversary, giving fans a rare chance to relive the show. Before the broadcast, the group's greatest hits effort Yer Favourites notched a milestone 400th week on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart, continuing its run as the seventh-longest-charting album in the Canadian chart's history.

The event, which takes place Sept. 26 at Toronto's Massey Hall, will be co-hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos and Marie-Mai.
