Drake to Release 'Iceman' Album on May 15
The album’s release date was uncovered from the rapper's ice installation in Toronto by local streamer Kishka.

The ice has melted, and with it, the rollout for Drake’s upcoming album Iceman has delivered its first major detail.
A May 15 release date was revealed on April 21 after Toronto streamer Kishka pulled a sealed bag from inside one of the giant ice blocks installed as part of the marketing campaign. The moment, captured on livestream, quickly spread online and confirmed what fans had been trying to uncover for over a day.
The installation appeared earlier this week near Downsview Park after Drake posted on Instagram hinting that the album’s release date was hidden inside the structures. Within hours, the site drew large crowds and fans began chipping away at the ice, climbing onto the blocks and pouring water over them in an attempt to speed up the process.

As the crowd grew, the scene intensified. Videos circulating online showed people using tools to break through the ice, while others tried to melt sections using heat. Toronto police were called to the area at multiple points to manage the crowd and prevent damage to the installation.
Kishka, who had been streaming from the site, eventually reached a cavity inside one of the blocks and retrieved a blue bag containing the date. The discovery brought the search to an end, with clips of the moment quickly circulating across platforms.
The ice block activation is part of a wider rollout for Iceman that has leaned on physical installations and cryptic teases rather than a standard announcement. By placing the reveal in a public space in Toronto, Drake turned the moment into a live event, with fans directly involved in uncovering the information.
No additional details about the album have been announced so far, but Iceman is now officially set for release on May 15.
