Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ) is a gigantic festival with some huge headliners every year, but still maintains a status as a hidden gem. The 125,000 FEQ passes sell out in a flash. In 2023, the maximum capacity of Quebec City’s Plains of Abraham was reached during the Imagine Dragons and Pitbull shows. 90,000 festival-goers were in attendance, forcing FEQ to have to close the site. A rare feat, this has not happened since the Rolling Stones visited in 2015. FEQ also broke its own attendance record with several evenings attended by more than 60,000 people. Louis Bellavance joined the ranks of BLEUFEU and FEQ in 2011 is behind the impressive program of the festival, which notably included Foo Fighters, Billy Talent, Cypress Hill, Green Day, Les Cowboys Fringants in 2023 and will welcome the Jonas Brothers, Carly Rae Jepsen, 50 Cent, The Offspring and Nickelback this year. Nicolas Racine, meanwhile, became BLEUFEU’s CEO in 2022 and praises FEQ as an economic driver for the Quebec City region, which it undoubtedly is.
