A highly influential figure in Canadian music, Sam Feldman sold the agency that bears his name — The Feldman Agency — to longtime team members in 2019 in order to focus on his management company with Stephen Macklam. Feldman’s management clients are some of the biggest names in the singer-songwriter genre, including Sarah McLachlan, who is this year celebrating the 30th anniversary of her landmark Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album with a major tour, as well as folk legend James Taylor and Canadian jazz star Diana Krall. Feldman isn’t only focused on icons — he also founded and advises Watchdog Management, which represents viral indie act Mother Mother and up-and-comers Peach Pit. Feldman is further involved in organizations like the UBC Hospital Foundation and the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, and in 2023 received the Order of British Columbia, honouring his work in the industry and beyond.
