Julien Lutz, a.k.a. Director X, has been shaping Canadian pop culture for decades. He’s made ultra-recognizable music videos for artists including Drake, Rihanna and Usher, and now is also a major director in film and television, including the recent series Robyn Hood, and in the commercial world. He co-founded the company Fela with his longtime business partner Taj Critchlow with the slogan “own your culture, tell your stories” and prizes storytelling through both branded and creative work, including music videos and documentaries. Working with other creatives bridging the gap between music and other filmed work, like Karena Evans and Emma Higgins, Fela aims to foster the next generation of stortyellers.
